The Thirty-Nineth Edition of "A Whiff of Peat Smoke...." , Why ? because i can !

One step Closer to Christmas......

The SMOS 1979 Bunnahabhain 29yo

It's a bit of a special occassion when you get the chance to sample a whisky at different ages from the same year , Ardbeg led the way with the "Path to Peaty Maturity " then Bruichladdich followed suit with the PC Range . It's even more so when you get the chance to sample bottles from Casks filled on the same day ! Ardbeg again with the 1976 239X casks and Bladnoch with the 1992 26XX casks . What is a privilege is getting 3 different ages from a distillery that doesn't release a lot of their stock . Luckily for us Sukhinder from The Whisky Exchange has done such a thing with one of my favourite distilleries Bunnahabhain . Over the past 3 years he's been releasing a 1979 at 27yo , 28yo and now 29yo .
