TWE 10th Anniversary Islay Single Malt

Postby Gordon » 28 Mar 2010, 17:52

Expression - TWE 10th Anniversary Islay Single Malt
ABV - 58.5%
Colour - Straw
Nose – Very Farmyard with damp peat , there's a slight floraliness lurking behind the original nose and also something i can't quite put my finger on.....aah Nettles in a damp forest !
Palate - Really peaty on the palate , also Lockets cough sweets (Honey/lemon/medicinal) .
Finish - Short and sweet peat .
Comments - Thanks to TimF for the sample . A really strange Islay , don't know what to make of it or what the hell it is !!!! The nettles have stumped me......
Edit - After trying another sample i had sent to me i've got a sneaky feeling this could be a laphroaig .
