I don't see them in the obvious shops but they must be out there somewhere.

Wemyss Vintage Malts have released a number of single cask Islays recently. Amongst them is this:

"Crumpets and Cordite", Vintage 1984

It is Caol Ila and is a very good example of a 25yo. Its a lot cheaper at RMW than it is on the Wemyss website. I think for that age of Caol Ila its a reasonable price if we set aside Raymond's charity work.

BBR's new 30yo is the same price and at a higher abv i think ?

That's fair enough. I didn't say it was the best deal on the market, just a reasonable price.

Just noticed that there's a new 25yo Caol ila Distillery bottling , the Downside ? It's at 43% (the previous 2 were at CS ) and it's £133 a bottle.......
Think i'll stick to getting my Aged Caol Ila from Bladnochs On line shop.......
