So a short introduction,
Belgians get accustomed with alcohol
Gradually I used less and less coke, till I banned it completely
Then I moved from the regular J&B, Red Label, etc.. to the Ballentines 12y, Glenfiddich, The Glenlivet, till I accidentally was offered a bottle of Lagavullin 16y. My world changed; I started looking more into whisky and soon sipped my first Laproagh and Port Ellen. Halelouja
Next step was somewhere around 1995 when I went to a tasting event
I also went into a wine tasting group and got the highest level there (more then 10 years member + practical test) since then.
Since I moved 300km away from my first whisky club, I joined a more local one (whiskyclublux.com), but still try to attend the tastings of the first one.
I taste quality, not regions! Open bottles at this moment include Rosebank, Glengoyne, Highland Park, Springbank, Bushmills, Port Ellen,...
Closed bottles are multiple.
