I got "into" whisky in 1984 on a camping trip to Scotland with a mate(cheers Dave its all your fault!).Until then i couldn't stand the stuff,too many hot toddies forced upon me by a well-meaning parent,but that all changed after a few nights in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.Macallan 18 year old(1966) started it all and since then I've never looked back,been in lots of bars but never looked back! Now lots of years on i'm married(to the delightful Melanie),still work at the same company , have one cat , Sarek ( pictured with the recently departed tortoise shell Kira). In April 2000 i started a little club up on Yahoo and have made many new friends through it , after 7 great years activity started to dry up on it and i decided to closed it . Being a fan of the fine stuff , i have nowbottled a cask of my own....a bloodtub full of Port Charlotte whisky , also a group of us have also bought a bourbon barrel of the stuff (Howay the Geordie Laddies!) and a few of us from the Spirit of Islay group bought a refill sherry hogshead of the PC .
